Vintage Retro Hand Etched Kangaroo Ashtray

This ceramic ashtray is too cool for ashes. It should be displayed as a work of art. Very kitschy design. I love it. Enjoy!

Ruth Green

Adorable screenprints from Ruth Green. I especially love the owl tree. Enjoy!

Inspiration

I've been doing some research lately on fiber art and thought I would share these two pieces I stumbled across. The first is by Rise Nagin and the second is by Jean Thomas. I love the first for its depth and the second for its texture. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a website for either to share with you, but I do hope you enjoy these works are inspired. :)

My Fall Fashion Preview

While suffering through 105 degree weather what better way to while away the day than by dreaming of sweaters and jackets. Besides, I'm a sweater addict, especially loving the soft kind with the cowl neck collars. I've been doing some shopping online, trying to assemble my fall wardrobe and I thought I'd share a few of my favorites with you.

I once blogged about a pair of shoes and was challenged by Julieta to show her what I would wear them with, being that she had once owned a similar pair of shoes and had nothing but bad memories of same. Here are said shoes:

And here is what I would wear them with. These absolutely fabulous ultra-wide leg twill trousers with the high Hollywood waist. I know this may not be an acceptable style for some of you, but I think they're dreamy. I can only imagine how comfy they must be, with all the leg room in those wide legs, not to mention the fact that I would never, ever have to worry about my undies showing from the backside when I sit down. (As an aside, am I the only one who suffers from this affliction? I don't own a pair of pants that don't flash my backside if I am required to bend over or sit down.) I am also thoroughly enjoying this belted sweater and bolero look.

Other items I'm wanting:

This wrap turtleneck sweater , just $49.00.

Soft cotton jersey foldover collar sweater , $54.00.

Ribbed flutter-sleeve metallic sweater tunic for $59.00.

Swing sleeve tweed jacket , $49.00

Belted blazer for $59.00.

Awesome houndstooth coat from Fred Flare for $95.00.

A Virtual Garden...who can pick just one?

Dan Bennett is awesome. No, make that totally awesome. His botanical paintings are almost as great as the real thing. Dear, skip the bouquet of roses, get me one of these for our anniversary. You can purchase prints online right here. Enjoy!

Ooh la la....

Retro chic vintage boudoir lamps in a classic robin's egg blue with gold flecks measuring approximately 10" tall. I have broken the lamps down to rewire but have decided to wait to rewire until after they are sold because I would like to use them as vases for myself if they don't sell.

I have two of these lamps. I am listing them individually for $30.00 each, but will sell them as a pair for $50.00. Also, shipping for a single lamp is $10.00, but for the pair $15.00. Just convo me if you want to purchase as a pair and I will adjust the price and quantity.
